    Now that Thanksgiving is over and our bellies are full it is time to start the holiday cheer! There are tons of activities and events going on in Denver  that can be great to do with the whole family! I know I am excited for these festivities. Check out what is going on this week below!

    Southwest Rink at Skyline Park on the corner of 16th and Arapahoe is now OPEN!

    Take a spin on the ice – for free! Grab your family and friends and head to 16th and Arapahoe in downtown Denver to the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park! Skate rentals are $2 – or bring your own pair and skate for FREE! Free days for kids will take place throughout the season. Look for regularly scheduled entertainment and activities each week including: Friday night Djs; Saturday morning skating lessons; Saturday night concerts; and Sunday afternoon family entertainment.

    Denver Zoo Lights opens December 5th!

    Come and experience a holiday light safari with more than 38 brilliantly-illuminated acres of lights, featuring more than 150 animated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected. General Admission (non-members) are Adults (Ages 12-64) $13, Children (Ages 3-11) $9, Seniors (Ages 65+) $11. Get your tickets now!

    Denver Botanical Blossoms of Light also opens December 5th!

    Embrace the holiday season at Blossoms of Light. Colorful lights are draped in elegant designs and highlight the Gardens’ winter beauty. Enjoy sparkling passages and brand new displays, as well as the always anticipated HoloSpex glasses. Warm drinks and tasty treats will also be available.     Parade of Lights

    This Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th the Parade of Lights will be making their march through Downtown. You don’t want to miss the sparkling lights, marching bands, giant balloons, dazzling floats and delightful characters as they take to the streets of Downtown. Spectator viewing for the Parade is FREE all along the two-mile route or purchase grandstand tickets for seating in front of the City & County Building. A special appearance by Major Waddles the Penguin and Santa – you don’t want to miss it!
