Women Who Grow, known as DRDA in our South Sudan headquarters, works to build stable communities in East Africa by providing job skills and farming training to women and children whose lives have been ravaged by war, poverty, and violence. Women Who Grow was founded by Karak Denyok: a mother, victim of violence, successful leader and Sudanese refugee. Her vision is to give women the necessary knowledge, support and hope to find their own solutions and begin providing for themselves, their families and their communities. In addition to the training provided to women at our farm schools, Women Who Grow partners with agencies such as UNICEF, Save the Children, and Oxfam to provide emergency kits, child reunification, and technical and vocational training for youth. Did you know that more than half of the population of South Sudan lives on less than $1/day? You can do something about it by donating today – CLICK HERE!
